Microsoft Co. should fire the engineer who comes up with this product. It worth a penny. I can’t believe it is Microsoft’s product. Very, very poor connection. I will return it.

In a few words, frustrating, aqggravating and prone to cause errors. Its going back into the box and back to the store. If allowed, I would give it zero stars.
My daughter wanted my other wireless keyboard, so I bought one of these to replace it. I had trouble reliably selecting things with the mouse with a single click. Often, I had to click things several times to make it select and/or open an item. I checked the MS website and upgraded the driver. After rebooting, my virus protection warned me of a program that was requesting internet access. Lo and behold, the mouse software was requesting internet access. Given that there is no way to turn this off, I renamed the mouse updater executable so it could not be launched.
With further use, I found that both the keyboard and the mouse tend to fall “asleep” (I guess to conserve battery) and will buffer some portion of the input til they “wake” up. Since they may take several seconds to awaken and in my frustration to get them to do something, I would click with the mouse too much and/or type the same key many times to get it take the input. This leads to errors, miscues and a frustrating experience.

I really like this wireless. I had a wireless mouse and keyboard previous to this one and the reception was horrible. I have not had a problem with the reception of this wireless at all. It is great. And great price. I highly recomend it.
