6 GB ram in your computer… Why not use this Dominator product… Well here is a reason… unless you’re using Vista 64 Bit you can only access roughly 3 GB and putting in 6 GB will LIKELY SLOW your machine down appreciably… SO order a 3 GB kit UNLESS you’re using Vista 64bit then get the 6 GB kit… With the Asus Rampage II Extreme it is ultra stable and silly fast… that’s the truth PERIOD

I used these with an Asus P6T Deluxe, Intel Core I7 920 processor and Vista x64. Seemed stable with just 2 sticks, but I never could make it work reliably with all 3 sticks. It would appear to be OK (I could run Prime95 for 24 hours even when overclocked) but the system would crash with a blue screen around once a week, even at stock speeds (no overclocking, memory running much slower than rated). This went on for 6 months while I tried many BIOS tweaks to try to stop the blue screens, but nothing helped.
Finally I replaced the Corsair Dominators with the less expensive Patriot Vipers Patriot PVT36G1600ELK Extreme Performance Viper Series PC3-12800 DDR3 1600 6GB 3 x 2GB Intel XMP Ready CL 9 Non ECC Triple Channel Kit (Blue) and my problems were solved. Solid as a rock with all 3 sticks, even when overclocking, and I’m running them at CL8 even though they’re rated as CL9.
Save yourself some money and maybe some grief and get the Patriots instead.
****Update 7/15/2009:
I RMA’d these to Corsair, and they sent me replacements labeled “Version 2.2″ which arrived about 10 days after I shipped mine. The replacements seem to work fine. But I’m still leaving the review at 1 star because Corsair deserves low marks for shipping me flaky product to begin with, and I had to buy the Patriot replacement RAM because I couldn’t have my system down for 10 days while waiting for a replacement.

The 3 matched modules, running at 1333 on the ASUS P6T6 MOBO with an I7 965 Extreme, work great.

This memory goes well with the MX58 motherboard, and The Cooler Master V8.
It’s like having my very own, Stealth Fighter.
