I had my two monitors all ready to go with new macbook pro 13″ and at last my connector arrived from the US.
The problem is that its displayport connector is NOT a mini one but a full size one for the older mac models. This really is not accurate advertising
Including postage this has cost me nearly AUS$70

I suppose it would be a cool product BUT…
[It doesn't fit my Mac]
At the time I am writing this, it claims to fit “all MacBook and MacBook Pro”. Unfortunately, they need to update that since the new model appears to have changed the standard on the plug. This does NOT fit the new unibody MBP13.
[It arrived broken]
The plastic surrounding the plug (the plug that inserts into the laptop) was split. There is no adhesive or clip. Simple four little pegs in one side of the plastic and four little holes in the other side. I don’t know if it happened in shipping or in my hand, but it fell apart as I was removing the plug from the bag. I might have been convinced to keep it around for my wife’s Mac… but when it fell apart in my hands within seconds of opening the package, I lost interest.
[It is too large to move around]
The weight / size of this is too much for the mini plug on a MacBook. I’d worry about even lifting it to move it sideways. However, the ideal application for this would be when the laptop is in place and you’re just trying to share the screen with a giant TV or LCD for presentation purposes. I do believe that the weight of the dongle is what caused the plastic to break apart in my hands as I plugged it in. That and low-budget construction.
I really want to like this item. I really wish it would fit my Mac… and despite the bulk and broken-ness of it, I’d probably ask for a replacement if it did fit the new MacBook. If you super-glue the plug yourself, you’ll probably be happy with it… but I am just tired of junk products that need to be modified in order to work correctly. I didn’t even test the function of this before putting it back into the bag for RMA.

Purchased this because it stated it supported dual link DVI, and it does not. Also it’s huge and bulky which isn’t an issue on a mac mini but would be an issue for anyone with a laptop.
Now it’s something else I have to send back. Great.
